LOCAL BUSINESSES: If you are a business who is looking for a cheap way to reach a large audience, donate some prizes (cash or non-cash) to the contest. I’ll make sure that folks know about your generosity.
This year’s photography contest is going to be even better than last year’s. Tell your neighbors and friends (especially if they are shutterbugs) that there’s a local photography contest with cash prizes.
I listened to your thoughtful feedback. So:
- All photos will be given their own page where they are displayed at full size
- I’ll be more stringent about enforcing rules
- There will be more prizes (including a $25 cash prize for first place)
Send in three photographs by e-mail attachment to andrew suber [at] hotmail [dot] com. That’s firstname.lastname@example.org.
The first photograph should be of a Big Bend plant. The second of Big Bend wildlife. The third, a Big Bend landscape. If you are a professional photographer, please don’t send in a submission; this is for ‘up-and-comers’. Anyone else can enter as long as the photos were taken in the Big Bend area (use your common sense and a map to define that area). The deadline is midnight, May 2nd. The readers will be the judges.
