Scenes from the Big Bend: Escaped Brahma Bull
Driving back from visiting the Gage Hotel, I chanced upon an escaped Brahma Bull. I did my neighborly duty and reported the bull to Animal Control, shot a minute of video of him and went back to the pedestrian duty of reviewing the Big Bend’s best restaurants.
These are the sort of serendipitous moments that punctuate life in the Big Bend.

There was a horrible accident several years ago along US 90 between Alpine and Marathon that killed an Alpine woman and left another Alpine women permanently disabled when the vehicle they were in hit a bull that had wandered on the roadway one night. Wonder if it’s the same rancher? Sometimes not so serendipitous.
That’s precisely why I slowed to a crawl and contacted the authorities… dangerous or not, though, it is picturesque.
