History abounds in this community and of course, if you are searching for Alpine Texas Hotels, you will want to stay in one that has a history and at the Holland Hotel, you will enjoy staying in one of Texas’s landmarks as well.
The original hotel was built in 1912 and has been restored to its magnificent Spanish Colonial Revival stylings along with a few modern amenities, but the Holland Hotel still offers that Texas hospitality and atmosphere of early Texas, including large rooms.
What to Expect at the Holland Hotel
Accommodations at the Holland Hotel are vast starting with Queen Standard rooms all the way to a Penthouse Suite ranging in price from $89.99 to $229.99. In the rooms, you can expect comfy five star linen and beds, a 32-inch flat panel TV, free Wi-Fi, iHome Clock, mini fridge, coffee pot, microwave, hair dryer, and iron. The hotel does offer free parking and a guest laundry as well.
The one thing that has to be mentioned which could be considered the downside is the hotel is located in the downtown area close to the train tracks and station. The trains run around the clock and for some this can be quite uncomfortable while sleeping.
The good news is that the hotel offers earplugs (very good ones) that will drown out the trains. You must remember, hotels were built near the station during this time period so just enjoy the feel of the early 1900’s in Alpine, Texas.
