Vic has done that and more - and has even decided to remain in Alpiine after his retirement. If that does not say a lot for the community, nothing does. They could fly someone in from San Antonio for instance, but not Dallas or Houston. In effect, this created a practical pool of one candidate. This is unverified, of course, so take it with a grain of salt. I welcome any comments or views on this because it will have a long term effect on Alpine.
