In conjunction with the 2009 Relay for Life, a luncheon and style show honoring cancer survivors from the Big Bend area will be held at noon April 4 at Alpine’s First United Methodist Church fellowship hall.
Models will be cancer survivors wearing clothes provided by area merchants — Alco, Beall’s, Johnson Feed and Western Wear, Needleworks Etc., Hotel Limpia Gifts, Hotel Paisano Gifts and Quetzal.
Admission will be a donation of $10 to the American Cancer Society. Tickets are available at City Drug Store, Johnson Feed and Western Wear, and Needleworks, or reservations may be made by March 28 by calling Dot Leavitt at 837-2472 or Carol Lewis at 837-2284. Cancer survivors will be admitted free, but they are asked to contact Leavitt or Lewis beforehand.
