Listened to the almost perfect game the other night and I feel sorry for the pitcher of that great attempt at a once in a lifetime event. First of all, the announcer committed a broadcasting sin by announcing the status of a perfect game or no hitter. Everyone knows that you don’t change the momentum of a great pitched game. I guess the poor guy was doomed by player changes and lack of luck.

I agree completely. Never mention that a pitcher is pitching a shut-out. Unless you want to jinx them!

Went to a Big Bend Cowboy games last weekend. Had a great time. The weather is wonderful in Alpine.
