Reader Jackie Murray sent in the following photo from a BP gas pump:

If I am responsible for spilling a couple of ounces of gas that will evaporate, why has BP ducked responsibility for the millions of gallons of crude billowing in the Gulf?
I grew up on the gulf coast and I am very angry about what is going on there. We desperately need to make the start of a transition to a non-petroleum economy.
I know that Texas depends on the petroleum industry for so much of its income… but we have recently become a center for wind power and technology as well.
Don’t do it for me… do it for that little Brown Pelican who needs a shampoo.
